This interdisciplinary course is designed to increase student's critical awareness of the Fine Arts. Through a series of topics, the common ground shared by these Fine Arts as well as their unique modes of expression and expressive potential are explored. Prerequisite: AR-101, AR-102, MU-101, TH-101 or consent of instructor.
This course offers a study of the major philosophical theories relevant to artist-practitioners. This course is designed to allow Fine Arts majors to articulate an informed opinion on the value of the arts as well as a personal aesthetic. Prerequisites: FA 231 or consent of the instructor.
The course provides an internship experience for students that allows for the application of fine arts to practical work in the community through placement in a professional or educational organization focusing in any of the art fields. Prerequisites: FA 231 or consent of the instructor.
This course is an investigation of the practical applications of a degree in the Fine Arts including how to prepare a portfolio, audition tapes and an Arts resume. Prerequisite: FA-231 or consent of instructor.
