Executive Development Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management and Leadership
The Executive Development Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management and Leadership at the School of Business and Public Administration is a four-course program that will help prepare participants from Guam and Western Pacific Island communities with strategic thinking, managerial leadership, financial knowledge and skills, and the communicating and policy expertise needed to further the mission of the organizations they serve. Through robust learning, discussions and analysis of real island issues and practical applications, participants will build the knowledge and skills needed to lead their non-profit and civic organizations and contribute to the betterment of the lives of those they serve and island communities by learning the tools of good governance, financial planning, accountability, collaboration, management, communications, policy development, compliance, boardsmanship, and leadership.

The nonprofit certificate program is designed for managers, supervisors, Board members, and other nonprofit leaders and those aspiring to leadership positions in all areas of the nonprofit sector. University of Guam students may enroll in the program for academic credit or as a concentration. Graduate student and Professionals and interested participants from outside the University may also register for the certificate program course for academic credit, or continuing education (non-academic) credits.
The four (4) lcourses required to complete this certificate program may employ various delivery techniques: on-campus, off-campus, or on-line. The delivery method depends on the needs of the program participants.
